Beautifully detailed and richly symbolic, the Tibetan Double Dorje, represents firmness of spirit and spiritual strength/power. The shape of the Dorje symbolizes the two forms of truth: relative and absolute. The 5 prongs at either end represent the 5 buddha families, and the display of samsara. Dorje, also known as a vajra in Sanskrit, represents the nature of reality of sunyata. This particular bronze piece may be displayed on one’s personal shrine. (A single dorje or vajra is used extensively in the rituals of tantric buddhism.)
