NATURAL GREAT PERFECTION: Dzogchen Teachings and Vajra Songs
by Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche and Lama Surya Das
Dzogchen is the consummate practice of Tibetan Buddhism. A pure awareness practice applicable to any circumstance and readily integrated into modern life, Dzogchen directly introduces us to the inherent freedom, purity and perfection of being that is our true nature.
Natural Great Perfection is an inspiring collection of teachings, providing the deepest possible insight into the practice of the Dzogchen path. The teachings are followed by a collection of spontaneous vajra songs, composed in the tradition of Milarepa, as the delightful play of wisdom consciousness.

“The entire book is pretty straightforward and accessible, even with limited knowledge of Buddhist jargon and practice…. Overall, this book will be of interest to anyone attracted to Vajrayana Buddhism as well as those curious about religion in general, particularly comparative religious philosophy—it is fascinating how similar religions are when stripped of ceremonies and rules and reduced to simple philosophical theories. As such, it’s a good read for all those seeking enlightenment, both intellectual and spiritual, via any path.”—Feminist Review
