With Tsoknyi Rinpoche
August 20 - 27, 2021
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the uncertainties surrounding the possible spread of Covid-19 in 2021 and the availability of a widely distributed vaccine, we do not know at this time if this retreat will take place. Please do not book lodging until you have registered for the retreat. We will post updates as we have them.
Thank you for your understanding ~
The Pundarika Staff
Rinpoche often quotes an ancient teaching of the Buddha: “My dreamlike form appears to dreamlike beings to show them the dreamlike path that leads to dreamlike enlightenment.”
This retreat will focus on the question: What is it to be fully awake, free from all illusion, yet with a heart overflowing with compassion? Rinpoche will teach on these themes from a Dzogchen and Mahamudra perspective.
This is an open, silent retreat. All are welcome to attend.
Registration opening will be announced.
Crestone 2019 retreats filled very quickly. If you wish to attend in 2021, please register as soon as possible after registration opens.
If you are a member in the Pundarika Membership Program, you are guaranteed a space in the retreat for one month after registration has been open.
Tentative retreat plans:
Onsite check-in will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on August 20th in the Yeshe Rangsal tent foyer. You will be able to choose your seat in the tent immediately after check-in. Orientation begins in the Yeshe Rangsal tent at 4:30 p.m. followed by the first teaching by Tsoknyi Rinpoche at 5:15 p.m.
The retreat will be seven (7) days in length with one approximately 2–2-1/2 hour teaching each day. There will be four group meditation sessions daily. A detailed schedule will be sent to retreatants several weeks before the retreat begins.
This retreat formally ends the evening of August 26th. Departure day is August 27th.
To gain the greatest benefit from the teachings, Rinpoche has requested that students attend all the teaching sessions throughout the retreat. This also helps all of us to build a strong container as a sangha for this short time together.
All retreatants are responsible for finding lodging and providing their meals. There is no camping available on the Yeshe Rangsal retreat land. The following link pertains to 2019 housing and updates for 2021 will be made at a later date. Please view this link only as a general idea of what lodging options might be available: https://tsoknyirinpoche.org/retreats/housing-for-retreats-in-crestone/
There is a Rideshare board and a Roomshare board at: https://tsoknyirinpoche.org/retreats/housing-ride-share/ which will be made available closer to the time of the retreat. We encourage ridesharing. Please consider offering rides to and from the retreat if you have room, as this will help all students to attend.
A limited number of scholarships are available for this retreat. Announcements about Scholarship application dates will be made later in the year. Late applications cannot be accepted. Scholarships apply to the tuition portion of the program, not to accommodations. For more scholarship information, please visit: https://tsoknyirinpoche.org/retreats/scholarship-information/
More general retreat information will be made available on our website as retreat registration time nears.
