Tsoknyi Rinpoche has a long-standing relationship with Tana Dungsey Rinpoche and has enthusiastically encouraged his students to take teachings from him.

The current Tana Dungsey Rinpoche is the holder of two unbroken ancient Tibetan lineages: the Hungkara (8thc) and Yelpa Kagyu (12thc). He completed a 3-year retreat under the guidance of Tai Situ Rinpoche and is the beloved lama for several international sanghas, including the US, southern India, and Malaysia. He, like his father before him, is the spiritual guide for the 60 monks currently living in the Tana Monastery in Kollegal, India, and provides much assistance to the surrounding Tibetan lay community.

Currently, he resides in Broomfield, CO, and spends time in Kollegal, India, at the Tana Monastery the rest of the year.
